Our roofs are made in different sizes and out of different materials such as, wood, straw, reeds and fiberglass, which are more or less durable and more or less heavy in weight.
A roof is directly fastened on a branch or beam. So that it can stay there a long time. We use woven belts made out of synthetic fibers for fastening; they do not rot and are durable against the sun's Ultraviolet rays.
Who can, should hang their roofs so that they are furthermore protected from the variations caused by wind and weather.

A bracket can be found on the roof for the cable pull, which serves as a smooth regulator for the altitude of the bee basket. The reason being for lowering the hive for possible essential work needed to be done on the basket or for check-ups on the colony.
